The Lossless Audio Blog (The L.A.B): New Lossless Format from Kenwood

New Lossless Format from Kenwood

Kenwood has a new HD-based audio player due out sometime in December labeled as the HD30GA9. What is interesting about this release is the refernce to a new proprietary lossless format called Kenwood Lossless. As of this posting I have been unable to find any additional information on this lossless format. If you know anything about it please post of e-mail me and I will add it to this post. The press release on the HD30GA9 dubbed the "Music Keg" does have some information but the Babelfish translation didn't make much sense.

I work at Kenwood. I'll see if I can find anything out about it.

It may just be FLAC. The Kenwood Music Keg is a rebranded Phatbox, which uses FLAC.
